Support Our Mission

We are a small volunteer team working to get this design into the hands of an organization that can manufacture it at scale. Donations cover the costs of keeping the project alive while we do: protecting the design, refining the prototype, and reaching potential partners.

We are still getting our donation processing fully up and running. In the meantime, email us at info@hemihand.org and we will make sure your contribution gets where it needs to go.

Hemi-Hand, Inc. is a non-profit corporation. Our federal tax-exempt status is still being finalized, so we are not yet able to confirm that contributions are tax-deductible.

Where Your Money Goes

No one at Hemi-Hand draws a salary. Contributions go to these four costs, in roughly this order of priority:

Patent Prosecution

Carrying our pending application through examination

Prototype Refinement

Materials, fabrication, and sizing across hand sizes

Finding a Partner

Reaching manufacturers, clinicians, and research groups

Organizational Costs

Incorporation, annual filings, and legal counsel

We are not currently running a fixed-target campaign, and we would rather say that than publish a budget we are not committed to. If you are considering a significant gift and want to know exactly what it would fund, email us and we will tell you plainly.

Other Ways to Help

Not able to donate right now? You can still make a difference by spreading the word, connecting us with rehabilitation professionals or medical device manufacturers, or volunteering your expertise. An introduction to the right organization would help us more than almost anything else.
